Waiting period
Initial waiting period: 30 days. The waiting period for complication during pregnancy and birth-related cover is 6 months.
Discounts
RFID discount: 5%. Long-term tenure discounts shown in the brochure are 10% for 2 years and 15% for 3, 4 and 5-year policies.
Zone distribution
Zone A covers non-metro cities of India. Zone B covers metro cities including Indore, Mumbai and suburbs, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR.

Important conditions

These customer-facing notes summarise the applicable brochure conditions. The policy wording and schedule prevail in case of any difference.
Initial waiting period and accident exception
Claims received within 30 days from the first Policy Commencement Date are excluded under any section, except claims arising due to an Accident.
Optional covers
Optional covers are available only when the applicable additional premium is paid and the cover is included in the policy schedule.
Fresh proposals and medical tests
For a fresh proposal where the pet is over 4 years of age, the Company may, at its discretion, require medical tests before issuing the policy. The cost of those tests is borne by the insured.
Pre-existing disease condition
Where medical test reports are positive for a listed illness, the applicable pre-existing disease waiver is not available under the policy or group policy.
Hospital boarding expenses
Hospital Boarding Expenses are payable up to Rs1,000 per day, subject to a maximum of 25% of the Sum Insured during the Policy Period.
Deductible and one-policy condition
A compulsory deductible of 10% of the claim amount, subject to a minimum of Rs1,000, applies to each claim. OPD Cover is also subject to the applicable OPD deductible. Only one policy per pet is permitted.
Behavioural illness
Behavioural Illness Cover is available only for pet dogs that have undergone professional training.
Pregnancy-related claims
Pregnancy and birth-related claims remain subject to the stated waiting period, the applicable section trigger and the policy conditions for the treatment claimed.
Specialised therapy
Specialised therapy claims are payable only when the applicable policy conditions and section triggers are satisfied. The therapy must relate to the same illness or injury for which the underlying claim was triggered.
Emergency Road Ambulance
Emergency Road Ambulance Cover applies only in an accidental case where the insured pet is unable to move on its own.
Terminal Disease
More than one Terminal Disease claim is not payable under the section and the cover ends for the lifetime once a claim is made.
Long Term Care
Long Term Care has breed- and age-based restrictions and is not available to cats over 7 years, unless renewed without a break. Other renewal-without-break conditions continue to apply.
Domestic travel
Travel-related benefits are subject to the domestic travel condition and the applicable limits and terms in the policy wording.
